For two weeks a year, my studio gets to pretend it’s a showroom.

I love the clean tables, the carefully arranged displays, and seeing all the work together.

But there’s something I love just as much about what comes next: getting back to making.

The displays get consolidated. The work surfaces come back. The clay comes out. Pieces go under dry-cleaning plastic. New work starts taking shape.

But you don’t need to wait for my next open studio sale to come by.

I knew when I opened the studio that this sale would be about more than ceramics.

It was about raising money for Beit Binyamin.
It was about bringing people into my studio.
It was about old friends, new customers, and hopefully a few beautiful pieces finding their way into new homes.

What I didn’t expect was how many stories would come with them.

Stories about moving to Israel.
About volunteering.
About serving in miluim.
About Shabbat, new homes, family, and the many ways people show up for one another.

And so many people did just that — showing up, bringing friends, sharing the sale, helping to spread the word.

I’m very grateful for the ceramics that made all of this possible — and for the people who gave the sale its heart. ❤️

I didn’t know Binyamin personally.

But I know that when I read the list he made at 16 of the person he wanted to become, I wanted other people to read it too.

His mom brought these bookmarks to my studio sale, and now I’m putting one into every order.

Because I think there’s something powerful about remembering someone not only for what happened to them, but for the goodness they were trying to bring into the world.

And then there’s the question on the back:
